Re-Up Radio NY

Re-Up Radio NY       Saturdays 10pm-midnight (est)

The year of 1988 was a significant year for Hip Hop. It was a time
where ingenuity and originality was encouraged, and the music
industry wasn’t over-saturated with clones. It seemed as if every
new single reinvented the genre. It was during this year that music
from future Hip Hop legends such as Big Daddy Kane, Rakim, KRS-1, and
Slick Rick were introduced to the world. And during this Golden Age of
Hip Hop, DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince won the first Grammy awarded
in the Rap category. RE-UP Radio NY was created to showcase talented
artists of today, that exhibit the same diversity, quality, innovation
and potential influence that are reminiscent of artists from ’88.
